Broadway Chorus is part of the Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre, formerly known as Pleasanton Playhouse. Tri-Valley Repertory provides regional theater productions for the San Francisco East Bay and the Tri-Valley area including Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, Sunol and San Ramon.
The adult Broadway Chorus a mixed group of about 80 men and women, ranging in age from teens to well into retirement years. There is also a youth choir for students in grades 1-8. Typically there are two concerts annually which usually include both the adult and youth groups.
Broadway Chorus exists primarily to have fun with vocal harmony. The music is often derived from Broadway productions, hence the name "Broadway Chorus". The group doesn't focus on winning competitions or exploring strange new vocal genres. Their music consists of arrangements of familiar classical and contemporary works.
